1. Who we are and how to accept these terms

makemywedding.ai is operated by Danny O'Neill, trading as makemywedding.ai ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@makemywedding.ai.

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of your agreement with us.

2. The service

makemywedding.ai gives you an AI planning assistant ("Atlas") and a set of tools: AI-generated concept boards, vendor and venue discovery and matching, enquiry drafting, a guest list with invitations and RSVP tracking, a seating planner, a budget and checklist, and a publishable wedding website.

The service is currently in early access. We are improving it constantly, which means features may change, be added or be withdrawn. We will not remove core paid functionality mid-subscription without telling you.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your sign-in method secure - you are responsible for activity on your account. You can sign in by email link or Google; both resolve to the same account for the same email address.

4. Plans, billing and cancellation

Spark is free, with usage limits shown in the app.

Engaged is a paid monthly subscription (currently £29 per month including VAT where applicable). Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not give partial-month refunds, except where the law says otherwise.

If we change the price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price will apply from your next renewal after the notice period. If you do not want to pay it, cancel before then.

Your cooling-off rights. You normally have 14 days to cancel a subscription for a full refund. Because the service is digital content and services supplied immediately, when you subscribe you agree that we start supplying straight away and you acknowledge that once you begin using the paid features your cooling-off right is affected accordingly. If you subscribe and change your mind within 14 days without meaningfully using the paid features, email us and we will refund you. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

5. AI-generated content

Atlas is built on AI models. That gives you speed and creative range, and it comes with honest limits:

• Concept images are illustrations. They are AI-generated to express a style and direction. They do not depict real venues, real florists' work, or real products, and nothing shown is a promise of what any business can deliver.
• Atlas can be wrong. Summaries, suggestions, match explanations and drafted text can contain errors. Check anything you are going to rely on - dates, prices, capacities, dietary claims, legal or contractual points - with the source.
• You are the decision-maker. Atlas assists; it does not book, spend, or commit to anything on your behalf.

6. Vendor and venue listings: our independence

This is the most important section of these terms.

Where the profiles come from. Vendor and venue profiles on makemywedding.ai are compiled by us from publicly available sources - primarily each business's own website and other public listings - using automated collection and AI-assisted summarisation. Each profile shows how many public sources were used and when it was last refreshed. When you search for a business by name, we look up public sources about that business at your request.

What we are not. We are not an agent, broker, representative or partner of any business listed. We have no commercial relationships with listed businesses: they do not pay us, we take no commissions, and placement in results cannot be bought. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation of fitness for your wedding, or a verification of the business's credentials, insurance, licensing or quality. Businesses may not be aware they appear here.

Accuracy. Because profiles are built from public information, details can be incomplete, out of date or wrong - prices change, businesses close, capacities differ by season. You must verify everything that matters directly with the business before relying on it or booking: availability, pricing, capacity, dietary and cultural capability, insurance, and anything else material to you.

Enquiries are drafts. Enquiry text produced by Atlas is a draft for you to review, edit and send from your own email. We do not send enquiries, negotiate, take deposits, or intermediate between you and any business in any way.

Your contract is with the vendor. Any booking, payment or agreement you make with a business is solely between you and that business. We are not a party to it, and to the fullest extent the law allows we accept no responsibility for any business's acts, omissions, quality of service, pricing, availability or conduct.

If you are a listed business: you may ask us to correct or remove your profile at any time by emailing hello@makemywedding.ai. Removal requests are actioned promptly.

7. Your content and your guests' information

You keep ownership of everything you upload or create - photos, text, your guest list, your wedding website content. You give us the limited licence we need to host, process, display and transmit that content in order to run the service for you, and for no other purpose.

You are responsible for your content and for the personal details you add about other people:

• Only upload photos and material you have the right to use.
• Only add guest details you are entitled to share - people you are genuinely inviting and would contact about your own wedding - and use the invitation and RSVP tools only for your wedding, never for marketing or unrelated messages.
• Your wedding website is public once you publish it. You choose what goes on it, and you can unpublish at any time.

Images generated for you on the platform are yours to use for your own wedding and personal purposes. You must not resell them or use them to build a competing catalogue or service.

8. Acceptable use

Do not: misuse or attempt to disrupt the service; scrape or bulk-extract the vendor catalogue or any other part of the platform; attempt to access other people's accounts or data; upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content; use the messaging tools to spam; or use the service for anything other than planning weddings and closely related events. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

9. Our intellectual property

The platform - its software, design, brand, and the compiled form of our catalogue - belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Where planned work will meaningfully interrupt paid features, we will try to give notice.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

Subject to that: we are not liable for the acts, omissions or services of any vendor or venue (see section 6); we are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms; and we are not liable for business losses - the service is provided for personal use. Our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the greater of £100 and the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to a service performed with reasonable care and skill.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we withdraw the service - in which case, if you have paid for time you will not receive, we will refund it pro rata.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give you notice by email or in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top always shows the current version.

14. General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing these terms is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else; we may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, and your rights will not be reduced by it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction - except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there, and you always keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
